Belo Horizonte funk gets a concept “block”: MC Tairon and DJ Win release Bloco da VOID, featuring MC Rick and a stacked guest list.
Arriving on all major digital platforms via ONErpm this Friday (6), the project is built at the intersection of street culture, the music business, and Brazilian popular energy. Instead of a loose batch of tracks, the EP is designed as a “sonic block,” where each song plays a specific role inside a cohesive, easy-to-share format.
“‘Bloco da VOID’ marks a moment of artistic consolidation. It’s where I can place my identity inside a project with a clearly defined concept, direction, and purpose.”
Across six tracks, Bloco da VOID stays rooted in BH funk while widening its reach through carefully chosen national influences. “Na Imaginação” shows the EP’s most sensory side: a seductive build with electronic elements, crisp synth lines, and a clean aesthetic that nods to a more global sound without losing its popular punch.
The EP also brings in piseiro on two songs. One of Brazil’s biggest grassroots phenomena, the style is reworked here through a Southeast urban lens, blending groove, swing, and the language of BH funk.
“Carente de Amor” leads the release
The EP’s focus track, “Carente de Amor,” taps into the legacy of Minas Gerais funk with a feature from MC Rick, a nationally recognized name. The song balances emotion with accessibility, leans into universal themes, and locks in on a strong, instant hook—one of the project’s guiding principles.
Guests and a collective identity
Strategic collaborations help broaden the record’s palette. MC Anjim brings local clout, while appearances by MC CJ, Granfino, and MC Leozin expand both reach and aesthetic range. The VOID crew—MC Tairon, MC Pokemon, DJ PKZIN, and Kost—cements the collective identity and the label’s long-term vision as a creative and curatorial nucleus.
“In production, the goal was to create a sonic signature: melodic elements, Latin references, and at the same time keep the raw force that defines BH funk.”
What VOID is
VOID is a production company and creative hub shaped by real-life experience in Belo Horizonte’s scene. Its mission is to develop, organize, and scale music projects with identity, consistency, and market vision—bringing together artists, producers, DJs, and release strategy in a digital-first ecosystem.
Within that framework, Bloco da VOID is positioned as street culture translated into a modern, strategically packaged release—built from the ground up for the club, Carnival season, streaming, and cultural activations.
