Menescal and Cris Delanno: “O Lado B da Bossa”
On Friday (Jan 30), Roberto Menescal and Cris Delanno return with “O Lado B da Bossa,” named after their newly released album. The show spotlights lesser-known songs, shaped by Menescal’s arrangements and his signature refinement—rooted in the dialogue between jazz phrasing and samba swing.
Menescal’s guitar and Cris’s voice lead the night, backed by a tight trio: Adriano Souza (piano and organ), Adriano Giffoni (bass), and João Cortez (drums). The set includes “Ah, Se Eu Pudesse,” “Chora Tua Tristeza,” “Deixa,” “Era Copacabana,” “O Negócio é Amar,” and “Esse Seu Olhar/Promessas.”
Tiê turns to intimacy in “Saudade é Amor”
On Saturday (Jan 31) at 8pm, Tiê presents “Saudade é Amor,” a warm, intimate concert that alternates between solo guitar moments and piano accompaniment. The repertoire travels from her debut album “Sweet Jardim” to later chapters of her catalog.
Known for hits like “A Noite” (a Brazilian telenovela theme) and “Amuleto,” Tiê has built a consistent career since 2009, after being discovered by Toquinho. The show also connects with projects such as “Dix” (2019) and “Cartas de Amor,” keeping the focus on storytelling and nuance.
Rick Ferreira honors Erasmo, Raul, and Belchior
Later on Saturday (Jan 31) at 10:30pm, Rick Ferreira delivers an affectionate musical portrait of three key influences: Erasmo Carlos, Raul Seixas, and Belchior. The concert highlights Belchior’s 80th anniversary and features special guest Vannick Belchior, the artist’s youngest daughter.
Expect cross-generational staples with Rick’s original arrangements—created for past recordings—plus new material and reworkings that blend classic rock drive with poetic, regional color.
