Carlinhos Brown and Simone release “Primeiro Amor Primeiro”, a new song set to heat up Carnival 2026.
One of the leading names in Axé Music—which celebrates 40 years in 2025—singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Carlinhos Brown launches his new single “Primeiro Amor Primeiro” this Friday, December 5, in collaboration with iconic Brazilian artist Simone. The upbeat track, set to dominate the 2026 Carnival, arrives on all digital platforms.
The song celebrates love’s timeless ability to spark at any stage of life. “Primeiro Amor Primeiro is about the need to celebrate a love that genuinely moves me, because one’s first love can be born again at any moment. I invited Simone to sing with me, and she did it beautifully. She’s always been among my first musical loves,” said Brown.
The single premiered live during the Sarau du Brown in Salvador, held at Carlinhos’s cultural venue, the Candyall Guetho Square, recently renovated to enhance the audience experience.
Simone shared how the collaboration began: “When celebrating my 50-year career, I invited Brown to perform with me in Salvador. He played this song, and I instantly connected to it. Months later, I called him and said: let’s record it together! And he immediately agreed.”
Brown revealed that the recording features a remarkable lineup of musicians, including Jaques Morelenbaum on string arrangements, Thiago Pugas as co-producer, Miguel Freitas on drums, and Jaguar Andrade on guitar. “It’s a carnival that lasts beyond seven days—a song that stays in the hearts of those who love,” he explained.
“Primeiro Amor Primeiro” will be available on all streaming platforms starting Friday, December 5.
