After 1.5M views on his cover, Ed Gama records “Deslocado” with forró star Zé Vaqueiro, giving the Portuguese Eurovision hit a Brazilian soul.
Brazilian entertainer Ed Gama and forró sensation Zé Vaqueiro have released a Brazilian version of “Deslocado”, a hit by Portuguese band Napa, now available on Spotify as of Friday (27). The collaboration was sparked by Ed’s viral cover of the song — set to a forró rhythm — which surpassed 1.5 million views on YouTube and caught the attention of one of Brazil’s biggest names in the piseiro scene.
From Eurovision to the Brazilian northeast
“Deslocado” won the prestigious Festival da Canção 2025, organized by Portuguese state broadcaster RTP, and went on to represent Portugal at Eurovision — Europe’s largest music competition — finishing in 21st place. In Brazil, the song’s universal message of longing and belonging quickly went viral on TikTok, bridging two cultures through a shared emotion.

A multifaceted talent
While Ed Gama is widely known for his comedy, he is also a singer, musician, producer, voice actor, entrepreneur, and lawyer. He recently turned heads by showcasing his vocal range alongside Manu Bahtidão at a party following a taping of the “Dança dos Famosos” segment on Brazilian television.
A regular cast member on Domingão com Huck since 2024, Ed first performed “Deslocado” live on TV on the very same show, alongside Zé Vaqueiro. He continues his partnership with comedy collective Porta dos Fundos and frequently performs at Clube do Minhoca, a cultural venue in São Paulo of which he is a co-owner.
Ed has also carved out a steady presence in the Big Brother Brasil universe, hosting segments such as “Bate-Papo BBB,” “Big Show,” and “Mesa Cast,” always bringing his signature humor and improvisational energy to the screen.
