EletroCarnaBrown drops on 01/16 with eight tracks: electronic remixes of “Magalenha” and “Muito Obrigada Axé,” plus two new songs, including Simone.
Longtime collaborators Carlinhos Brown and DJ/producer Deeplick are set to release EletroCarnaBrown, an electronic-forward Carnival project built around eight remixed tracks. The album revisits songs tied to the “Mixturada Brasileira” universe (released in 2012 via Candyall) while also reframing other signature hits with club-ready energy.
From street anthem to dancefloor
The tracklist puts the spotlight on new electronic takes of songs made for big crowds. Highlights include “Magalenha” and “Muito Obrigado Axé,” now driven by Deeplick’s beats while keeping Brown’s unmistakable Carnival pulse.
Brown says the album is meant to celebrate and refresh listeners’ ears for Brazil’s Carnival season. He also points out that his relationship with electronic sounds goes back to the 1980s—and that today’s scene makes collaborations with producers like Deeplick feel natural.
“Sharing a remix of ‘Muito Obrigado Axé,’ or a new reading of ‘Magalenha’ (…) is a way to deliver a guaranteed soundtrack.”
Lead single: “Primeiro Amor Primeiro”
Upbeat and dance-driven, “Primeiro Amor Primeiro” is presented as the album’s focus track. The song celebrates the idea that a “first love” can happen at any stage of life—and features singer Simone.
Brown says the track matches his desire to celebrate a feeling that deeply moves him, precisely because it speaks to late-blooming love. He also highlights Simone’s performance as a key part of the song’s emotional pull.
Two new tracks, eight total
Alongside the revamped classics, the album includes two brand-new songs: “Primeiro Amor Primeiro” (feat. Simone) and “Buena Vibración”. The goal is a flexible Carnival soundtrack—whether you’re in the streets, at a VIP box, or celebrating from home.
