In “Pesadelo Ambicioso,” Fausto Fawcett and Chelpa Ferro transform the chaos of modern life into poetic and experimental soundscapes.
After the pandemic, the planet got louder. Voices, machines, and urban tension blend into a dense sonic field that fuels Fawcett’s collaboration with Chelpa Ferro — the trio formed by Barrão, Sergio Mekler, and Luiz Zerbini. Produced by Thiago Nassif and released by Chico Dub’s label Outra Música, the album merges spoken word with layers of electronic and analog textures.
Ten tracks (thirteen in digital version) unfold like sound sculptures rather than traditional songs. Guitars, samplers, synth lines, and field recordings frame Fawcett’s unmistakable urban poetry — wild, eccentric, and visceral — creating a hypnotic dialogue between verse and noise.
Originally conceived in 2021 as an installation at CCBB Brasília, later adapted into a book (2022) and a live performance (2024), the project now reaches its definitive form in audio, capturing the dissonant pulse of contemporary existence.
The album is available on Bandcamp and digital platforms.
