Thaís Vasconcelos Embraces New Samba Phase
At the Prainha with Ferrugem event, music, emotion, and family bonds shone. Thaís Vasconcelos opened up about her role as queen of bateria for São Paulo’s Camisa Verde e Branco.
This marks her second Carnival on the avenue. She now approaches it with ease. “Last year, I pressured myself for perfection. But samba is about feeling. Today, I keep it light for myself, my body, life, and family. If it’s not light, I stay home. Camisa Verde e Branco lets me live that,” she said.
Prainha means music, joy, and family.
Ferrugem highlighted the event’s family essence. His daughters joined him for the show. “Prainha is more than a stage. My daughters are here enjoying it. Nothing beats working with loved ones nearby,” the singer noted.
