Porto Alegre is about to get its biggest entertainment destination yet. FLY 51, a large-scale events complex built on the grounds of Salgado Filho International Airport, officially opens its doors this Saturday with a 10-plus-hour party headlined by top sertanejo duo Zé Neto & Cristiano.

A New Chapter for Live Events in the South

The project brings together Grupo TE2 Hospitality, Greenvalley (Grupo GV), GDO Produções, and Grupo Prime, with a combined investment of roughly R$40 million. The venue is projected to inject up to R$250 million annually into the local economy while creating hundreds of direct and indirect jobs.

Spanning more than 27,000 square meters, FLY 51 was designed to place Porto Alegre firmly on the national and international events circuit. Its modular layout accommodates anywhere from 2,000 to over 15,000 attendees, adapting to the scale of each event.

Built for Experience

The covered area exceeds 6,000 m² and can expand to 10,000 m² when needed. The complex also features parking for up to 400 vehicles, more than 400 restrooms, food courts, rest areas, medical stations, and VIP spaces. The stage is retractable and modular, enabling different configurations for different shows.

The architectural design was led by Axelrud Arquitetura, with support from RTR Arquitetura, prioritizing comfort, flow, and operational versatility.

Opening Night

Produced by GDO Produções, the opening event kicks off with gates opening at 3 PM. Zé Neto & Cristiano are expected to take the stage at 10 PM, with Netto DJ and three regional DJs rounding out the lineup throughout the night.

“Opening FLY 51 with a show of this scale is our way of showing the public everything this venue can deliver. The goal is to provide a complete experience — one that goes beyond the show and marks the beginning of a new era for events in this city.” — Kamil Nagib Sarquis, Events and Marketing Director, GDO Produções

Getting There

FLY 51 is located at Rua Augusto Severo, 797, São João neighborhood, right next to Salgado Filho Airport — one of the most accessible areas of the city. The venue is steps from a train station and near major bus corridors, with easy access via ride-hailing apps and taxis.

Estimated travel times: 10 minutes from Moinhos de Vento, 15 minutes from downtown Porto Alegre, 20 minutes from Canoas and Alvorada, and 30 minutes from Gravataí, Esteio, and Guaíba.
