A Historic Night in Brazil’s Sertão
On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, Brazilian forró singer Eric Land brought the city of Patos, in the Sertão region of Paraíba, to a complete standstill during the live recording of his audiovisual project ForróLand. The night featured major names in northeastern Brazilian music: Henry Freitas, Tarcísio do Acordeon, Rey Vaqueiro, and DJ Ivis all shared the stage with the artist in a celebration that made history for the region.
A total of 12 unreleased tracks were recorded and will be released soon on streaming platforms and YouTube. After the recording wrapped, Eric stayed on stage and kept the party going for nearly 6 hours of live performance. Even as rain fell, the crowd refused to leave.
An Immersive Stage Like No Other
The ForróLand set design stood out for its bold visual identity. Three pickup trucks placed in the middle of the crowd formed the central stage, creating an immersive atmosphere and blurring the line between performer and audience — an unusual choice for a forró recording project. The setup also included two large semi-trailer trucks and a backdrop inspired by a sanfona (accordion) and a cangaceiro hat, both iconic symbols of Northeastern Brazilian culture.
Solidarity at the Door
Entry to the event was free, with one condition: each attendee donated 2 kg of non-perishable food. Around 10,000 people attended, and all donations will be directed toward social initiatives in the region.
