Friburgo Street Blues features Big Joe Manfra and Cris Crochemore

Free event celebrates the blues in Nova Friburgo on November 15 with shows by Big Joe Manfra & Cris Crochemore and local artists.

The Friburgo Street Blues festival will take over the Rua do Relógio da Arp on November 15, turning the street into an open-air stage. Now a highlight of the city’s cultural calendar, the event celebrates the blues with a free program and optional cover charge, bringing together renowned musicians and local talent in a vibrant day of music, food, and culture.

Blues greats on stage

The main attraction is the meeting between Big Joe Manfra and Cris Crochemore, two leading names in Brazilian blues. With nearly three decades of career, Big Joe Manfra is known for blending blues, rock, jazz, and funk into a unique sound. Cris Crochemore, based in Houston (USA), is a four-time winner of the Houston Blues Challenge — a remarkable achievement for a Brazilian artist.

Together, they deliver a powerful and authentic performance that captures the soul of the blues. The event also features shows by Magic Sons, DJ Bispim, and Vivianne Lisboa sings Amy Winehouse, a special tribute to the British icon who left a timeless legacy in music.

Music, fashion, and culture at Arp

The 2025 edition is organized by the restaurants and bars of Rua do Relógio — Casa da Serra Carioca, Feitoria Cozinha, Drink Deli, Empório Brew, and Coração Pastéis — and is part of Arp’s annual cultural program, establishing the area as a key hub for entertainment and gastronomy in Nova Friburgo.

On November 15 and 16, visitors can also enjoy the Thrift Fair in Block 11, featuring over 30 exhibitors of sustainable fashion. The initiative promotes conscious consumption and strengthens the connection between music, style, and community.
