“Time will always be king.” That phrase rang through Allianz Parque on Saturday (28) as Gilberto Gil took the stage for the final show of the Tempo Rei tour. Produced by 30e, Brazil’s largest live entertainment company, alongside Gege Produções Artísticas, the tour drew more than 1 million fans across 30 performances.

Launched in March 2025, the tour visited 10 Brazilian state capitals and expanded internationally to Argentina and Chile. One of its most unique moments took place at sea: an exclusive show held aboard a ship, turning the ocean into a stage for the master’s poetry.

A Stage Worthy of a Legend

Designed and built by 30e, the stage featured a striking LED vortex at its center — a visual element that pulsed with colors, shapes and messages synchronized to each song. The setlist spanned every decade of Gil’s career, evoking the nostalgia of the late-1960s festivals where he debuted the landmark “Domingo no Parque”, a defining moment of the Tropicália movement, while also embracing his most contemporary work.

The tour filled stadiums and arenas, attracting a multigenerational audience and reaffirming Brazilian popular music (MPB) as a universal language. Tempo Rei was more than a concert series — it was a dialogue between past, present and future.

Family, Surprise Guests and Emotion

Onstage, a band made up of Gil’s children, grandchildren and relatives turned arenas into intimate family gatherings. That warmth extended to more than 30 special guest appearances, kept secret until the moment each artist walked onstage. Among the surprise guests: Chico Buarque, Marisa Monte and Caetano Veloso.

For 30e, it was an immense honor to earn the trust of Gilberto Gil and Flora Gil to produce the Tempo Rei tour. Working alongside them was a rare privilege — the kind that defines an entire career. Tempo Rei was a tour made by Brazilians, for Brazilians. A celebration of who we are as a country. And rarely has music said so much about us.

Pepeu Correa, CEO of 30e

The Tempo Rei tour was presented by Banco do Brasil, with master sponsorship from Correios. Rolex served as the Official Watch and Estrella Galicia as the official beer. Supporting partners included WhatsApp, Smiles and GAC. Banco do Brasil Ourocard Visa cards were the official payment method.
