Guilherme Arantes, one of Brazil’s greatest singer-songwriters, has announced a new chapter in his career. In partnership with Virgin Music Group and MusicOn, he will release new songs later this year, marking 50 years of success with a new album set for early 2026.
A legacy of timeless classics
Known for hits such as “Planeta Água”, “Cheia de Charme”, “Um Dia, Um Adeus” and “Meu Mundo e Nada Mais”, Arantes built a musical legacy that combines poetry, melody and the soul of Brazil. Over five decades, he has earned numerous gold records and created songs that became cultural touchstones for generations.
“Guilherme Arantes is a living legend of Brazilian music. This new phase celebrates his journey while inspiring new generations,” says Cris Falcão of Virgin Music Group Latin America.
50th anniversary tour
Alongside the album, Arantes announced a 50th anniversary tour, produced by MusicOn. The show will feature modern interpretations of his greatest hits and promises to be one of the standout musical productions of 2026, blending nostalgia and innovation.
“Reaching 50 years of career, this partnership with MusicOn and Virgin marks a new and wonderful chapter in my professional life,” says Guilherme Arantes.
According to William Crunfli, founder of MusicOn, this moment highlights Arantes’ lasting impact. “Guilherme is one of Brazil’s greatest artists. His legacy remains alive and more relevant than ever,” he says.
Global partnership and distribution
With production by MusicOn and global distribution by Virgin Music, the project cements Guilherme Arantes’ status as a cornerstone of Brazilian music. It also reinforces a timeless truth: true classics never fade — they simply renew themselves.
