Hungria and Tribo da Periferia release “Reset”, a six-track project that revisits the essence of Brasília’s rap.
Artist Hungria joins Tribo da Periferia in “Reset”, a project featuring six unreleased tracks that marks a return to the roots of Brasília’s rap scene. The work revives the strength, poetry and identity that shaped their artistic journeys. Directed by Mateus Rigola, the release happens in two stages: the first on November 14 and the second on November 21.
“Partnering with Tribo has always made sense. We have similar histories, we started in the same scene and Brasília connects us in a very true way. Our musicality naturally aligns. Creating this project feels like delivering a gift to our audience, because they always ask for this union and support everything we do together,” says Hungria.
The tracks “Ostentação vs Troféu”, “Os Moleque da Quadra”, “Aniversário Dela”, “Amor e Sexo”, “Emendou” and “Caos e Lazer” depict experiences, emotions and contrasts between glamour and reality. The project brings together the unmistakable flow of two pillars of Brazilian rap. Each song reflects life as it is: full of victories, chaos, love and new beginnings.
“The challenge was intense: six videos in two days, with tight schedules and complete secrecy. We moved the project into the studio, built a LED panel and created a controlled, modern and impactful aesthetic. There we captured powerful mastershots of Hungria and Duck, highlighting each expression and presence,” explains director Mateus Rigola.
The name “Reset” summarizes the project’s concept: starting again without losing essence. The sound blends memories with contemporary energy, connecting generations and reinforcing the relevance of rap from Brazil’s Federal District.
“Because we are from Brasília, we share very similar characteristics, and this union made this contemporary rap style even stronger. It embraces the diversity of young life in the outskirts and urban centers. Today we mixed our experiences and created the pure essence of Rap DF,” says rapper Duckjay from Tribo da Periferia.
Born in Ceilândia, Hungria turned his experiences into music and identity and is now one of the most respected names in Brazilian rap, with nearly eight million monthly listeners. Tribo da Periferia, formed by Duckjay, has represented a generation since 1998, with authenticity and social engagement.
“Reset” is more than a project: it is a reconnection with the soul of rap, a reminder that sometimes starting over is the most authentic way to move forward.
