The Brazilian singer-songwriter dives into themes of desire and fleeting passion in this new single, released on March 5. The track arrives with a music video directed by Tiago V. Lima, filmed between São Paulo and Fernando de Noronha.

“This track merges MPB and pop with a funk beat. The guitars and synths create a dreamy soundscape that heats up as the lyrics unfold,” says Jáder.

Written in Recife during the making of his new record, “No Mar” was born from a creative session with Barro, Dan Mendes, and Guilherme Assis. Jáder invited Totô de Babalong after imagining his deep voice on the chorus — a choice that also shaped the video’s atmosphere.

Directed by Tiago V. Lima, the clip combines handcam footage, smartphone shots, collages, and chroma key effects to visually translate the song’s sensual and romantic essence. Filming took place across São Paulo and Fernando de Noronha.

With “No Mar”, Jáder continues expanding his sonic landscape. After weaving arrocha influences into “Xêro” and brega and bachata into “Volta”, he now embraces the rhythm of funk. “It’s a Brazilian music album, plain and simple,” he reflects. “I wanted to be plural and explore what moved me creatively.”
