Saturday jazz with standout horns

On January 17, from 1:30pm to 4:30pm, Jazz no Sobrado lights up Sobrado da Cidade. At Rua do Rosário 34, downtown Rio, Guta Menezes plays harmonica and trumpet. She shone on Globo’s “Altas Horas”.

Marco Túlio handles alto sax and clarinet, UniRio professor. Joined by Vanessa Rodrigues, Adrian Barbet on bass and Roberto Rutigliano on drums. The lineup delivers intensity and improv.

Setlist mixes jazz and Brazilian vibes

“Killer Joe” and “Trilhos Urbanos” meet bossa nova. The fusion honors tradition and modernity. Ideal for holiday vibes in Rio’s Historic Center.

Alice Isha’s cuisine enhances the scene. Family-friendly space fosters attentive listening and mingling. Culture meets great food on Saturdays.

Sunday spotlights Choro Circle

January 18 features Choro Circle, revisiting Pixinguinha, Jacob do Bandolim and more. This 19th-century genre shines with sophistication and freedom. It turns lunch into heartfelt fun.
