Sobrado da Cidade presents special Jazz no Sobrado edition with singer Guta Menezes on December 6 in downtown Rio.
Next Saturday, 6 December, from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sobrado da Cidade hosts another special edition of Jazz no Sobrado, a project that combines top-level instrumental music with the gastronomic experience of a 19th-century historic townhouse.
This edition features the striking and engaging voice of Guta Menezes, a Rio-born singer who moves with ease between jazz, Brazilian music and contemporary influences.
A vocalist from Rio de Janeiro, Guta Menezes is known for her delicate nuances and emotional intensity in every performance.
Her artistic path blends jazz, MPB and modern references, creating a vocal signature that values both tradition and experimentation.
Throughout her career, Guta has stood out in music venues and cultural projects in Rio, winning over audiences and critics with sensitive and sophisticated interpretations.
At Jazz no Sobrado, her presence adds elegance and power to an afternoon devoted to great music and the encounter between history, art and gastronomy.
For this edition, Guta performs alongside notable musicians from the instrumental scene: Vanessa Rodrigues (piano/keyboards), Adrian Barbet (sax), Didac Tiago (double bass) and Roberto Rutigliano (drums).
The repertoire includes classics such as “Trilhos Urbanos”, by Caetano Veloso, and “Catita”, by K-Ximbinho, as well as other surprises prepared especially for the audience.
With a view over Praça XV and a preserved colonial atmosphere, Sobrado da Cidade has become one of the most charming and vibrant spaces in downtown Rio, bringing together culture, history and fine gastronomy.
