DJ/producer KVSH and Brazil’s Orquestra Ouro Preto unveil the second single from a project that’s been blurring the line between concert hall tradition and club energy. Titled “Toccata,” the track arrives on January 16, 2026, across all digital audio and video platforms, drawing inspiration from one of Johann Sebastian Bach’s most iconic works.
The concept leans into contrast instead of smoothing it out. Orchestral scale meets electronic pulse, aiming for a modern collision of eras and aesthetics—score versus drop—without either world overpowering the other.
How the idea took shape
“Toccata” grew from an early creative back-and-forth between conductor Rodrigo Toffolo and KVSH. The blueprint was bold but clear: half of KVSH’s repertoire would be reimagined by the orchestra, while the other half would flip classical staples into the language of electronic music.
That challenge set up a direct conversation between Bach and the dancefloor—an attempt to break format and expand how audiences listen, whether they come from symphonic culture or peak-time club sets.
Following “Potter 3.0”
The release follows the project’s first single, “Potter 3.0,” which quickly gained traction on platforms and helped build momentum for the live shows. The first two concerts sold out at Lagoa dos Ingleses and Palácio das Artes, signaling strong appetite for this unlikely—yet precise—meeting point.
