At Navarra Arena in Pamplona, Laura Pausini launched the IO CANTO / YO CANTO WORLD TOUR with Mikel Izal and Rosana in two never-before-seen live duets.
On March 27, Laura Pausini kicked off her eleventh world tour at Navarra Arena in Pamplona, Spain. The IO CANTO / YO CANTO WORLD TOUR 2026/2027 opened to a sold-out crowd and delivered two unforgettable moments that set the tone for what promises to be a landmark global run.
A first for her career
For the first time ever, Pausini chose to launch a world tour outside of Italy. Spain became the starting point, two years after the conclusion of her last global tour. The Italian singer made clear she could not wait any longer to get back on stage.
“I am a singer and I am proud of it. I will always do everything I can to leave a mark, my vocal identity. This life has given me far more than I ever dreamed of, so I must not be afraid and must take responsibility for the role I have been given. I try to do that every day, and it does not scare me — on the contrary, it is my adrenaline and my strength.” — Laura Pausini
Two shows in one
The YO CANTO WORLD TOUR was designed as two separate shows. There are two distinct setlists and two independent productions, each built around the albums IO CANTO 2 and YO CANTO 2 — both conceived as tributes to the songs and songwriters that shaped Pausini’s artistic journey. Fans who attend more than one date will experience a completely different show, musically and visually.
Duets for the history books
The Pamplona premiere featured two landmark collaborations. The first brought Mikel Izal to the stage to perform “Pausa” live for the very first time alongside Laura. The moment carried extra emotional weight given Izal’s recent announcement that he is stepping away from live performance.
“It is one of the few songs I feel as a conversation with myself. When I sing it live, I feel my whole body involved… I was so eager to sing it with Mikel.” — Laura Pausini
The second duet united Laura and Rosana for the live debut of “El Talismán”. The meeting of two of the most influential voices in Spanish-language music translated into a deeply personal moment on stage, reflecting the emotional weight the song holds within YO CANTO 2.
“I felt the need for a woman around me with whom I could share what I was going through, and it was Rosana — with her personality and her music — who brought me that companionship and that strength.” — Laura Pausini
A fortress on stage
Artistic direction is handled by Luca Tommassini in collaboration with Laura herself. The central concept originated with the artist: an immersive set design built as a great fortress, a space that protects music, where Laura takes on the role of a warrior who defends, celebrates and shares it with her audience.
“We built a narrative in which Laura travels through the universe of music that has always been part of her life, celebrating her hits and the songwriters who inspired her most. It is a complex project visually as well, and we believe the result will be unlike anything seen before.” — Luca Tommassini
LED panels carry audiovisual content and narrative pieces designed by Eddy Angelelli and Studio Octopus. Lighting design is by Francesco De Cave. On stage, Laura is backed by a seven-piece band and four backing vocalists, under the musical direction of Paolo Carta. Costumes are by Monica Serani, with wardrobe for the band and backing vocalists by Angela Chezzi.
A global itinerary through 2027
After Spain, the tour moves through Latin America with stops in Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. Several dates are already sold out, including Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Santiago (two dates), Lima and Santo Domingo. The tour then heads to the United States and Canada, with shows in Miami, Orlando, Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto and New York. In the European autumn, the tour returns to Italy before crossing the continent’s major capitals.
In 2027, Brazil joins the itinerary. Laura Pausini will perform in São Paulo on February 27, 2027, at Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu.
