Tickets for M.I.A.’s show in São Paulo are now available as of this Thursday, April 2nd, at noon local time. The British rapper — celebrated for defying genre boundaries and merging global sounds — brings her electrifying live show to Brazil for a one-night performance on November 1st, 2026, at the iconic Audio venue in São Paulo.

A career built against convention

M.I.A. burst onto the pop scene in the early 2000s with a sound that refused categorization. Her debut album, Arular (2005), made it immediately clear that mainstream formulas were never part of the plan. By blending hip-hop, punk, dancehall, and house with influences rooted in her Sri Lankan heritage and global political awareness, she carved out a lane entirely her own.

The anthems she built along the way speak for themselves. “Paper Planes” and “Bad Girls” together surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify alone. High-profile collaborations with Madonna, Nicki Minaj, ZAYN, The Weeknd, and Timbaland cemented her place across multiple chapters of pop history.

A long-standing bond with Brazil

M.I.A.’s connection to Brazilian audiences runs deep. From the very start of her career, the artist drew heavily from Brazilian funk (funk carioca) as a sonic reference, forging a genuine and lasting bond with fans in the country. Her activism on behalf of refugee and immigrant communities — made vivid in visuals like the striking “Born Free” video (2010) — extended that connection well beyond music.

A new creative chapter on the horizon

After a gradual return to live performance in 2025 — with sets at the Palomosa Fest in Canada and the Harvest Rock Festival in Australia — M.I.A. joins Kid Cudi as special guest on the The Rebel Ragers Tour across the United States starting in April 2026. Her current setlists honor the 20th anniversary of Arular while revisiting her greatest hits.

On social media, M.I.A. has been teasing new releases through her independent label OHMNIN Music. The São Paulo show could offer Brazilian fans a front-row seat to the beginning of a bold new era.
