For the first time in Belo Horizonte, audiences will experience Margareth Reali’s powerful and emotional reinterpretation of Milton Nascimento’s classic albums from 1973 and 1974. The show “Milagre dos Peixes – Margareth Reali invites Jaques Morelenbaum and Wilson Lopes” honors five decades of music while reaffirming its timeless relevance.
Taking a feminine lead, Margareth delivers an emotionally charged repertoire that merges Minas Gerais’ regional roots with universal themes. The performance revisits key songs from Milton’s repertoire, blending lyrical beauty and subtle political resistance in pieces like “Caxangá”, “Bodas”, “Cadê”, “Cais”, and “Nada Será Como Antes”.
Resistance and refinement
Under the musical direction of Wilson Lopes, the concert preserves the authentic essence of the Minas sound while showcasing instrumental brilliance. The band performs deep and intricate pieces such as Wagner Tiso’s “Matança do Porco” and “Tema dos Deuses”, balancing lyrical subtlety with sophistication.
“Margareth’s interpretation of ‘Sacramento’ is the most beautiful I’ve ever heard,” said composer Nelson Ângelo.
