Brazil’s Festival Sensacional! 2026 adds Marina Sena and a one-of-a-kind Djonga & FBC show to its August lineup in Belo Horizonte, joining Pabllo Vittar, Gaby Amarantos, and more.
The 13th edition of Festival Sensacional! keeps growing. Marina Sena and the never-before-seen duo of Djonga and FBC are now confirmed alongside previously announced acts Pabllo Vittar, Gaby Amarantos, Gilsons, and Edson Gomes. The festival takes place on August 7 and 8, 2026, at the Parque Ecológico da Pampulha in Belo Horizonte, following the established format of an Opening Night on Friday and a full day of shows on Saturday.
Marina Sena returns with a reinvented show
Marina Sena is one of the most compelling voices in contemporary Brazilian pop. After launching her latest project’s tour at Sensacional! last year and traveling across the country, she returns with a revamped show that reflects the road experience and the overwhelming audience response to her new material. The set highlights tracks that define her current artistic phase — raw, organic, and emotionally charged — alongside the hits that built her national and international following.
Djonga and FBC: a historic meeting on stage
The pairing of Djonga and FBC is one of the most anticipated moments of the edition. Two giants of contemporary Minas Gerais rap, the artists are presenting a show conceived exclusively for Sensacional!, backed by a live band. The performance draws on a bond forged at the very start of their careers, revisiting solo classics, collaborative tracks, and songs that live on in collective memory — while leaving room for surprises and an unexpected sonic direction.
Between memory, reunion, and reinvention, the performance promises to be one of the most special moments of the edition.
Tropical pop, reggae, and MPB round out the bill
Pabllo Vittar and Gaby Amarantos bring the new wave of Brazilian tropical pop, blending tecnobrega, forró, arrocha, funk, and other popular genres. Gaby Amarantos’s work is officially recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Pará, carrying the power of Amazonian culture to the stage. Pabllo Vittar remains one of the biggest names in Brazilian pop worldwide, with record-breaking audiences, streaming numbers, and international awards.
Gilsons — the trio of Francisco Gil, João Gil, and José Gil — delivers a sunny sound fusing pop, MPB, and Afro-Brazilian rhythms, bridging the Gil family’s musical legacy with contemporary themes. Edson Gomes, a landmark figure in Brazilian reggae, brings decades of music anchored in social and political lyrics addressing inequality, resistance, and justice.
16 years of cultural history in BH
Founded in 2010 beneath the iconic Viaduto Santa Tereza, Sensacional! played a key role in the revival of Belo Horizonte’s street carnival scene. Over the years, it has taken over Parque Municipal, Praça da Savassi, and the Esplanada do Mineirão. Since 2022, it has called the Parque Ecológico da Pampulha home, hosting legends like Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, and Djavan alongside contemporary acts like BaianaSystem and Ana Frango Elétrico. In 2026, the festival celebrates 16 years of history.
