A Once-in-a-Lifetime Stage Reunion

After decades writing some of the most important chapters in Brazilian music history, Martinho da Vila has announced his final major tour. For this milestone, he chose the most meaningful path possible: sharing the stage with his daughter, Mart’nália. The “Pai e Filha” (Father and Daughter) tour marks the first time the two have joined forces for a full touring production — 30 shows across Brazil.

Rio de Janeiro is the first confirmed capital city on the route, with a show scheduled for May 2026. Artistic direction is handled by Groove Produções.

Two Legacies, One Stage

Martinho da Vila is far more than a performer. He is one of the great pillars of samba, the author of timeless classics that have shaped Brazil’s cultural identity for generations. His poetry — rooted in everyday life, love, community, and social observation — has become part of the emotional memory of millions.

It was within that universe that Mart’nália was born and raised. Growing up backstage, in samba circles and late-night musical gatherings, she absorbed music from the very beginning. With a distinctive voice, magnetic stage presence, and undeniable charisma, she carved out her own path as one of Brazil’s most beloved artists.

In Their Own Words

“‘Pai e Filha’ is not just a show. It is a meeting of generations, stories, and deep affection. Sharing the stage is a gift life has given me. It is the meeting of father and daughter, music and poetry.” — Martinho da Vila

“It’s going to be wonderful to be right by my dad’s side on stage, celebrating this tour. I’m sure these will be unique moments filled with love, joy, and family samba.” — Mart’nália

What to Expect

The setlist will feature Martinho da Vila’s timeless classics, career highlights from Mart’nália, and brand-new shared moments on stage — performances charged with emotion, humor, and a rare musical intimacy. A genuine celebration of Brazil’s samba legacy.
