The setlist brings together signature songs by Paulinho da Viola, including Para um Amor no Recife, Foi um Rio que Passou em Minha Vida, Argumento, Pecado Capital, Dança da Solidão and Guardei Minha Viola. The concert also features pieces by Antonio Adolfo, Ricardo Silveira, Chiquinha Gonzaga, João Gilberto, Ernesto Nazareth and Ciribelli’s own composition Mantra.

Special guests for the night are bassist Rogério Fernandes and drummer Joás Rodrigues. As a result, the performance expands into a dialogue between piano, voice, percussion, bass and drums, echoing the instrumental and popular tradition of Beco das Garrafas.

International path, Brazilian roots

Born in Niterói, Marvio Ciribelli has performed at festivals such as the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and Java Jazz in Indonesia. He has also appeared at Adelaide Fringe in Australia, Jazz Plaza in Cuba and Rio das Ostras Jazz & Blues in Brazil.

More recently, the pianist has played major jazz venues across Rio de Janeiro state, including Blue Note Rio, Terra da Luz Jazz Club in Visconde de Mauá, Jazz Village in Penedo and Soberano in Itaipava. That run highlights his steady presence on stages tied to both jazz and Brazilian music.

Another notable chapter in his career is his work recording and producing an album with Dutch band Focus, featuring Thijs van Leer and Pierre van der Linden. He also runs a label with 18 recorded albums, underscoring a long-term commitment to creation and production.
