Matogrosso & Mathias celebrate 50 years of career with the final EP of “Pedaço de Minha Vida”, featuring Brazil’s biggest sertanejo stars.
On March 6, the legendary duo Matogrosso & Mathias release the sixth and final EP of their acclaimed album “Pedaço de Minha Vida”, sealing a journey that spans five decades. The project features emotional collaborations with Daniel, Chitãozinho & Xororó, Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano, Leonardo, and César Menotti & Fabiano.
One of the most moving moments came during the medley “Cachoeira de Pranto/Triste Aniversário/Noite de Devaneios” with César Menotti & Fabiano, when César presented Matogrosso with a gold microphone, calling him “as rare as gold”. The gesture became a symbol of the deep respect the new generation holds for their musical idols.
In “Selva de Pedra,” Daniel revisits an emotional classic, recalling how Matogrosso & Mathias inspired his own beginnings. Meanwhile, Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano breathe new life into “Mariposa,” and Chitãozinho & Xororó honor the sertanejo roots in “De Igual Pra Igual.” The final act, “Na Hora do Adeus” with Leonardo, stands as a poetic farewell where goodbyes turn into timeless echoes.
