Milton Nascimento releases “Tarde”, new acoustic LP via NRC

Get ready: Milton Nascimento returns with a brand-new vinyl release. The NOIZE Record Club (NRC) presents “Tarde” (2025), an acoustic album that revisits some of his most beloved songs in intimate new versions. Highlights include “Clube da Esquina”, “Nada Será Como Antes”, “Beco do Mota” and “Saudade dos Aviões da Panair”.

Revisited classics and unreleased tracks

The record features three previously unreleased songs — “Peixinhos do Mar”, “Fazenda” and “Tarde” — along with selections from the 2018 EPs Nada Será Como Antes and A Festa. The LP is pressed on translucent green vinyl and includes NOIZE magazine issue #167 and an exclusive cover art by OSGEMEOS.

“I found these recordings and fell in love. When I became my father’s manager, I knew they had to be heard. People deserve to experience this beauty,” says Augusto Nascimento, Milton’s son and manager.

The beauty of the acoustic format

Originally recorded in 2007, “Tarde” presents Milton revisiting his own work in an acoustic and intimate format, with compositions created alongside Márcio Borges, Ronaldo Bastos, Fernando Brant, Tavinho Moura, and Nelson Ângelo. The album also includes “A Festa”, written by Milton for Maria Rita’s debut record.

To celebrate the release, NRC produced a special tribute video recreating the spirit of the original sessions. The film captures the warmth and emotional depth of the recordings — a tribute to one of Brazil’s most timeless voices.

“It’s a more stripped-down version of my father’s music. Songs that were once grand and jazz-like now have an intimate quality, closer to his voice,” explains Augusto Nascimento.

With “Tarde”, Milton Nascimento reaffirms his unmatched sensitivity and invites listeners on a soulful journey — a collection that bridges generations through emotion and artistry.
