After releasing “Louca,” Brazilian blues rock singer Nanda Moura presents a new version of “Sempre Não é Todo Dia,” originally written by Oswaldo Montenegro and Mongol. Her interpretation explores a more intimate and gritty atmosphere, deeply rooted in blues traditions.

“The hardest part was not singing in Oswaldo’s style. He has such a powerful identity,” Nanda shares, emphasizing her search for an authentic voice within a song that carries strong authorial fingerprints.

Originally part of the 1980s play “Aldeia dos Ventos” and later recorded by Zizi Possi and Montenegro himself, the song now returns in a minimalistic, visceral version. It tells the story of a woman who realizes that not every day allows her to live up to the image others expect from her.

“I was deeply honored by your version. I hope everyone hears what I heard here!” — Oswaldo Montenegro

The accompanying music video, available on Nanda’s official YouTube channel, preserves the white background of “Louca” while introducing red as a new symbolic layer — through mirrors, objects, and makeup. “Cildo Meireles inspired the concept, especially the idea of a detour to red,” says Nanda.

This release marks the second chapter of an audiovisual trilogy that will culminate in a final video entirely immersed in color, completing the upcoming EP.
