Musician and producer Navalha Karréra closes January’s Instrumental Sesc Brasil season with a show dedicated to the legendary Baden Powell. The concert airs on SescTV on January 25 at 9:30 p.m., offering a contemporary interpretation of the guitarist and composer’s work.

Performed in trio format, the show features arrangements across afrosamba, choro, frevo, and bossa nova, balancing respect and reinvention. The repertoire includes classics such as “Consolação” and “Canto de Ossanha”, as well as original pieces inspired by Baden’s legacy. Navalha Karréra (guitar) performs alongside Ilarindo Davidson (percuteria) and Elis Goto (bass), highlighting the enduring influence of this important musical heritage.

Instrumental Sesc Brasil opens the year with a new lineup exploring diverse territories of Brazilian instrumental music. Broadcasts take place every Sunday on SescTV, at 9:30 p.m., with reruns on Tuesdays (noon and 6:30 p.m.), Thursdays (1 a.m.), and Fridays (4:30 p.m.).
