The single arrives on digital platforms this Friday, March 20, together with a new music video that highlights the song’s romantic and enduring power.
Neguinho’s reinterpretation brings a fresh sound while honoring the original’s emotional core. “It’s an honor to sing such an important song. ‘Deixa Eu Te Amar’ touched generations in Agepê’s voice, and now it gains a new version in mine, with care and deep respect for the composers,” he says.
The song’s production was led by Neguinho da Beija-Flor alongside Elaine Cristina dos Reis Gonçalves Marcondes. Arrangements by Jonathan Carlos Lima de Branco balance modernity and tradition, reinforcing the timeless allure of romantic samba.
