Brazilian priest and performer Padre Patrick releases his new special, “Bença, Padre” (“Bless Me, Father”), on YouTube this Easter Sunday, April 5. Filmed at the Teatro Bradesco in São Paulo, the production caps a touring run of 106 performances and over 55,000 audience members across Brazil. The release follows “Fora da Caixinha,” his previous special that surpassed 500,000 views within a year on the same platform.

Where faith meets laughter

Padre Patrick has built his following by blending humor with spiritual depth. Throughout the tour, the show evolved organically — audience questions, personal stories, and local color kept the material fresh from city to city. The priest sees humor not as a gimmick but as a genuine doorway into people’s hearts.

“The greatest feeling in my heart about this project was that it allowed me to enter people’s hearts through the messages. We use humor to draw people in, but we leave something deep and special in each of their hearts. At every audience, in every city, I felt my heart burning. Because I knew that, somehow, I was bringing the message of the Gospel.” — Padre Patrick

For the priest, bringing the special to YouTube is a way to reach communities his tour could never physically visit — both across Brazil and around the world.

“Pecado É Não Rir”: a new tour in full swing

As the special hits the internet, Padre Patrick is already deep into his next chapter on stage. “Pecado É Não Rir” (“The Real Sin Is Not Laughing”) launched on December 3, 2025, at the Teatro Nova Iguaçu Petrobras in Nova Iguaçu, near Rio de Janeiro. By year’s end, the show had visited seven cities including Guarapuava, Palmas, and Pato Branco.

The tour resumed in March 2026 with sold-out sessions in Niterói and stops across Greater Rio de Janeiro. After 13 performances and over 5,000 attendees, the show now has 36 dates on sale from April through August, spanning nine Brazilian states.

“I’ve always let myself be moved by small things. The most meaningful part for me is getting to meet people, to hug them. When I hear someone thanking me for something I said, I think it makes life worth living. These encounters give me strength to keep going, certain that I am where I’m supposed to be. I want to keep doing this because I know it is God’s work.” — Padre Patrick
