Paula Fernandes releases “Amar de Novo”, an official Portuguese version of Adele’s hit, on her new EP “SIMPLESmente, Eu”, now available everywhere.

Last week, Paula Fernandes unveiled “Amar de Novo”, the exclusive Adele-authorized Portuguese version of “Set Fire To The Rain”. The track is featured on her new EP “SIMPLESmente, Eu”, released on November 27, presenting five original songs rich in emotion and depth.

This project marks a new phase of Paula Fernandes’ career, showing a return to her musical roots and artistic authenticity. “Amar de Novo” opens the EP, followed by “Aonde Foi Parar”, “Duelo”, “Novela”, and the special duet “Pai e Filha” with Sérgio Reis—celebrating memories and affection.

Exclusive version officially approved by Adele

Adele officially authorized Paula Fernandes to create the first-ever Portuguese version of one of her biggest songs, recognizing the Brazilian singer’s ability to capture the essence of the original work. Paula, a longtime admirer of Adele, expressed her honor at this rare form of artistic trust.

“‘Set Fire To The Rain’ always touched me in a special way. The song is about surrender and new beginnings, themes that are part of my current moment. Interpreting it with Adele’s approval was an honor. I tried to bring this emotion into my universe, respecting the original work while adding my own truth,” says Paula Fernandes.
