Rock in Rio 2026 is set
Rock in Rio will take over the Cidade do Rock at the Parque Olímpico do Rio de Janeiro on September 4, 5, 6, 7 and 11, 12 and 13, 2026, and the full lineup has already been announced. The first weekend brings Foo Fighters, Rise Against, The Hives, Nova Twins, Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me The Horizon, mgk, Sepultura, Calvin Harris, Black Eyed Peas, Nelly, Barão Vermelho, Elton John, Gilberto Gil, Jon Batiste and Luísa Sonza, among many others.
The second weekend continues with Stray Kids, Alok, HWASA, NEXZ, Jamiroquai, PJ Morton, Maroon 5, Demi Lovato, J Balvin, Pedro Sampaio, Twenty One Pilots, Halsey, Lola Young and Ivete Sangalo. The festival spreads the names across multiple stages, keeping its usual formula of international headliners, Brazilian artists and cross-genre collaborations.
New features for 2026
Beyond the lineup, the festival is rolling out major structural and experience upgrades. The Palco Mundo will feature a brand-new design, and for the first time its entire front structure will be covered with 2,400 square meters of high-definition LED panels. The New Dance Order also returns with a completely new scenography, measuring 56.50 meters wide and 22.5 meters high, with 502 square meters of LED panels.
Another highlight is the Gourmet Square, curated by chef Pedro Siqueira, who was named among the world’s 100 best pizzaiolos by the The Best Pizza Awards 2025. The area will also include cuisine from Sìsì. The festival is bringing back the aerial show The Flight with 756 daytime firework launches, and the Babilônia Feira Hype returns in a new location near the New Dance Order.
Rock in Rio is also premiering ECCO, created in partnership with LightWire. Designed as a 360-degree immersive journey, the show blends light, sound, technology, bodies, aromas and nature into a reflection on the origins of sound. Each performance lasts 20 minutes, runs five times a day and holds up to 1,000 people per session.
