Two never-before-seen shows kick off Queremos! Festival 2026 in Rio: Zeca Veloso premieres “Boas Novas” and Fitti unveils “Fitti canta Ney” at Teatro Carlos Gomes.
The 7th edition of Queremos! Festival starts on April 4 and 5 at Teatro Carlos Gomes, spotlighting brand-new projects and first-time live premieres.
Tickets are on sale via Sympla, and the festival continues the following weekend across different venues in Rio de Janeiro.

By putting premieres front and center, the festival doubles down on discovery—those one-off moments that can turn into a citywide buzz.
With annual sponsorship from Heineken, the event strengthens Rio’s cultural calendar while bridging musical scenes and audiences.
Zeca Veloso premieres “Boas Novas” at Queremos! Festival 2026
On Saturday, April 4, Zeca Veloso delivers the national premiere of “Boas Novas,” launching the run of shows he will play throughout 2026.
The set draws from his most recent album, released in late 2025 to strong critical and public reception, and adds new material created for this first stretch on the road.
Songs slated for the show include “Salvador” (with Caetano, Moreno and Tom Veloso), “Máquina do Rio,” “Talvez Menor,” “Desenho de Animação,” and “Carolina.”
It also marks the first time he performs with a full band: Lucca Noacco (guitar), Giordano Gasperin (bass), Thomas Arres (drums), Antonio Dal Bó (keys), Tunico (saxophone and flutes) and Diogo Gomes (trumpet), plus percussion.
His solo debut album has ten tracks, seven written entirely by the songwriter, who shaped the record over three years through varied production approaches and collaborations.
Fitti unveils “Fitti canta Ney” at Queremos! Festival 2026
On Sunday, April 5, Fitti brings “Fitti canta Ney” to Rio for the first time, a show-and-album project rooted in the repertoire and creative universe of Ney Matogrosso.
Directed by Marcus Preto, the production premieres in the first quarter of 2026 and is set to lead to a studio album.
Nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2025 for “Transespacial,” the Pernambuco-born artist offers a contemporary, personal reading—less a straight tribute, more a reframing of iconic songs.
The concept echoes Ney’s own 1994 gesture, when he dedicated “Estava Escrito” to songs immortalized by Angela Maria, now focusing on tracks central to his stage persona.
Born in Recife, Fitti started singing at 14 in street performances and local venues, while also building an acting career with appearances in the Netflix series “Só se for por amor” and the stage production “Dominguinhos – Isso aqui tá bom demais.”
The Teatro Carlos Gomes opening sets the tone for two festival weekends and a lineup built around live firsts.
