Rock in Rio has unveiled new headliners for its 2026 edition, adding Maroon 5, Demi Lovato, Mumford & Sons, Jamiroquai, and João Gomes and the Brazilian Orchestra to its impressive lineup. They join previously announced artists Elton John, Stray Kids, and Gilberto Gil. Ticket sales begin December 9 at 7 p.m. exclusively on Ticketmaster Brasil.
The festival will take place on September 4–7 and 11–13, 2026, at the Cidade do Rock in Rio de Janeiro’s Olympic Park, showcasing a blend of global superstars and Brazilian talents.
Maroon 5 and Demi Lovato headline Palco Mundo
On September 12, Maroon 5 headlines the Palco Mundo stage, performing hits like “Sugar,” “This Love,” and “Memories.” Led by Adam Levine, the Los Angeles band is one of pop music’s biggest acts, with over 100 million albums sold, 14 Billboard chart-toppers, and 32 billion Spotify streams.
Before them, Demi Lovato will bring her dance-pop era to Brazil, performing songs from her latest album It’s Not That Deep alongside fan favorites like “Sorry Not Sorry” and “Cool for the Summer.”
Mumford & Sons and João Gomes take over Palco Sunset
Mumford & Sons make their first Rock in Rio appearance as headliners of the Palco Sunset, bringing their folk-rock anthems like “I Will Wait” and “Little Lion Man.” Their latest album, Rushmere, debuted at No. 1 in the UK and marks their creative renaissance.
Brazilian star João Gomes will debut an exclusive show, João Gomes and the Brazilian Orchestra, blending traditional piseiro rhythms with orchestral arrangements featuring instruments from across Brazil.
Jamiroquai closes Palco Sunset on September 11
Jamiroquai headlines Sunset Stage with frontman Jay Kay and a vibrant set of funk and acid jazz classics like “Virtual Insanity” and “Cosmic Girl.” The band’s new album, slated for 2026, is one of the most anticipated releases ahead of the festival.
Ticket sales and promotion
Rock in Rio Card sales open December 9 at 7 p.m., and fans can participate in a TikTok challenge until December 5 for a chance to win tickets. The 2026 edition once again promises high energy, diverse music, and unforgettable moments.
