Rock in Rio 2026 confirms Rock in Rio Card sale on December 9, offering early access and day selection for attendees.
Early tickets and exclusive benefits
There are 290 days until Rock in Rio 2026, scheduled for September 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 13, at Cidade do Rock, Parque Olímpico in Rio de Janeiro.
The festival announced that Rock in Rio Card sales will start on December 9 at 7 p.m., while Rock in Rio Club members have pre-sale access from December 4 to 8, exclusively on the Ticketmaster Brazil website.
Each Rock in Rio Card is valid for one day, allows free movement in the Gramado sector, and grants access to all shows and attractions. Early registration is recommended to speed up the purchase.
In past editions, the Card sold out quickly: in 2024, 180,000 tickets were gone in 2 hours and 4 minutes, attracting audiences from all Brazilian states and 28 countries.
For 2026, prices are R$ 795 (full), R$ 397.50 (half-price), and R$ 675.75 with Itaú card, with no service fee. Payment options include credit card or PIX.
Itaú clients get 15% off and up to 8 interest-free installments. Other cards allow up to 6 installments. PIX payments must be confirmed within 10 minutes of QR Code generation.
Up to 4 Rock in Rio Cards can be purchased per CPF, with one half-price ticket allowed. People with disabilities can select an additional ticket for a companion, respecting the 4-card limit.
Half-price tickets are legally guaranteed for students, people under 21, over 60, disabled, teachers, low-income youth, and sanitation workers. Age limit is 16, with younger attendees allowed if accompanied by guardians.
Rock in Rio history and impact
Rock in Rio started in 1984, created by Roberto Medina, and is now considered the largest music and entertainment festival in the world. The first edition gathered 1.38 million people in Jacarepaguá, featuring 31 acts.
The festival has expanded to Lisbon, Madrid, and Las Vegas, generating over 297,600 direct and indirect jobs. In 2024 alone, its economic impact in Rio de Janeiro was R$ 2.9 billion.
The event follows sustainable practices, investing in education, music, and reforestation. Over 4 million trees were planted in the Amazon. Rock in Rio is ISO 20121 certified and carbon neutral since 2006.
Since 1985, over 12.3 million visitors have attended more than 4,667 artists in 141 days of performances. In 2024, communications reached over 146 million people on social media.
