Elton John and Gilberto Gil on the World Stage
Rock in Rio 2026 has confirmed Elton John as the headliner for September 7, in a unique performance in Brazil. The artist returns after nearly a decade.
On the same date, Gilberto Gil will perform a special show before Elton John, presenting major hits from his acclaimed career.
New World Stage design
The festival unveiled the new concept for the World Stage, fully covered with high-definition LED panels that transform for each performance.
Viva Rio with Rock in Rio
Ticket holders will have access to exclusive benefits in tourist attractions, hotels and experiences through the partnership hub including Visit Rio, HotéisRIO, ABIH-RJ and TurisRio.
Economic impact and partnerships
In 2024, the festival generated R$ 2.9 billion for the city’s economy. For 2026, a partnership with CRMBonus will return 100% of the ticket value in bonus credits.
The Flight returns
The aerial show The Flight will return to the festival, bringing synchronized acrobatics and a custom soundtrack.
Bossa Nova tribute
The 2026 edition will feature a tribute to Bossa Nova with Wanda Sá, celebrating the elegance and legacy of the genre.
Rock in Rio Card sale
The Rock in Rio Card goes on sale December 9 at 7 p.m., exclusively on Ticketmaster, allowing buyers to choose their festival day later.
