A homecoming and a grand stage

Brazilian sertanejo singer Ruan Victor is riding one of the hottest streaks of his career, and his home state is getting front-row seats. On two back-to-back days, the artist born in Taquara, Rio Grande do Sul, will headline two of the region’s biggest celebrations: Taquara Fest 2026 on April 17 and the traditional Fenarroz festival in Cachoeira do Sul on April 18.

The return to his hometown carries deep meaning. Taquara is marking its 140th anniversary, and Ruan Victor is one of the centerpieces of the celebration. He takes the main stage at 6 PM near Praça da Bandeira, as part of a free, 12-hour event featuring music, culture, and family activities.

A gala night at Fenarroz

The following evening, Ruan Victor heads to Cachoeira do Sul for the Escolha das Soberanas — the pageant night at Fenarroz, one of the state’s most anticipated cultural events. His musical set takes place during the intermission of the pageant, which begins at 8 PM at the Ginásio Dom Pedro inside the Parque da Fenarroz.

The hit dominating the airwaves

Both shows arrive on the wave of “Peraí”, his collaboration with Augusto Dávila. According to ConnectMix, a Brazilian media monitoring firm, the track was the most-played song on Rio Grande do Sul radio in March 2026. It also reached #2 on Spotify’s Global Viral chart and spent weeks at #1 on the Brazil Viral chart.

The numbers speak for themselves: over 3.7 million streams on Spotify and 2.9 million views on YouTube. With a lighthearted, relatable take on adult relationships, “Peraí” struck an immediate chord with younger audiences across Brazil.

Going global

The song’s reach extends well beyond Brazil. In Portugal, “Peraí” climbed to Top 5 on the viral chart and got an unexpected boost when singer Katia Aveiro, sister of Cristiano Ronaldo, was seen singing the track on social media. In Paraguay, it peaked at #8, marking the start of Ruan Victor’s presence in South American markets beyond Brazil.

Built from the ground up

Ruan Victor began performing in childhood and turned professional at 15 years old. Previous projects include “Visita Diária,” “Beijo Problema,” and the audiovisual project “Nostalgia.” Today, he enters a new chapter defined by digital growth, radio dominance, and an international footprint that is still expanding.
