New acts announced for Sensacional! 2026

Festival Sensacional! 2026 has unveiled a new wave of artists for its 13th edition. Joining the Saturday, August 8 lineup are Mundo Livre S/A, Sotam, NandaTsunami, A Outra Banda da Lua, and Lamparina. They join previously announced acts Marina Sena, Djonga with FBC, Pabllo Vittar, Gaby Amarantos, Gilsons, and Edson Gomes.

This edition also marks a new format: for the first time, the festival spans two full days, Saturday and Sunday, from 1 PM to 11 PM. More artists for Sunday will be announced soon.

A sonic map of Brazil

From Pernambuco, Mundo Livre S/A brings the energy of manguebeat, the groundbreaking movement that reshaped Brazilian music in the 1990s. Their set weaves maracatu, coco, and ciranda rhythms with punk rock, funk, hip-hop, and electronic music — spanning career classics and newer material.

São Paulo’s Sotam represents the new generation of Brazilian rap, blending lyricism, musicality, and sharp flows with a more melodic and romantic sensibility that has made him one of the most exciting emerging names in the scene.

NandaTsunami is one of the most compelling voices in Brazilian trap and funk. Her intense stage presence and genre-crossing repertoire promise to be a crowd-connecting highlight of the festival.

From northern Minas Gerais, A Outra Banda da Lua performs music from their album Entre a Terra e o Sol (Between the Earth and the Sun), bringing regional rhythms, poetry, and the cultural identity of Brazil’s interior to the Pampulha stage.

Local favorites Lamparina return to Sensacional! with a set built on everyday life stories, warmth, and the cathartic energy that defines their live shows in Belo Horizonte.

The previously announced highlights

Marina Sena, a festival staple, returns with a reimagined show incorporating the lessons of an extensive tour and the enthusiastic audience response to her latest, organically-driven artistic phase.

The meeting of Djonga and FBC is a performance conceived exclusively for this edition, with a live band. The show revisits shared career milestones, collaborative tracks, and fan favorites, while also opening space for new material and unexpected sounds.

Between memory, reunion, and invention, the Djonga and FBC show promises to be one of the most special moments of the edition.

Pabllo Vittar and Gaby Amarantos embody the new Brazilian tropical pop, navigating technobrega, forró, arrocha, and funk. Gaby’s work has been recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Pará, and Pabllo continues to break streaming records and collect international awards.

Gilsons — the trio of Francisco Gil, João Gil, and José Gil — blend pop, MPB, and Afro-Brazilian rhythms in a sunlit sound rooted in the Gil family’s musical legacy. Veteran reggae icon Edson Gomes rounds out the lineup, bringing decades of social and politically charged songwriting to the stage.

16 years of festival history

Founded in 2010 beneath the Santa Tereza Viaduct, Sensacional! played a key role in reviving Belo Horizonte’s street carnival culture. Over the years it migrated through iconic city spaces before settling at the Parque Ecológico da Pampulha in 2022 — a venue that has hosted legends like Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, and Djavan.
