Fresh off New Year’s Eve in São Miguel do Gostoso, Sergynho Pimenta takes axé to RN, AL and PE—and teases a trio surprise.
One of axé’s best-known voices from the 1990s, Sergynho Pimenta is hitting the road for summer 2026 with a crowd that blends longtime fans and a new generation. His run spans Alagoas, Rio Grande do Norte and Pernambuco, with public and private dates built around the songs that shaped his 30-year career.
The season kicked off before the calendar turned: on 12/06, Sergynho opened his summer schedule at a private event in Natal (RN). He then performed in Baía Formosa (RN) on 12/20—on the eve of summer—and closed out 2025 at the São Miguel do Gostoso (RN) New Year’s Eve celebration on 12/31.
In January, he returned to Rio Grande do Norte for a 01/06 show in Pirangi with SambAxé, sharing the stage with the group Quarteto Linha. The pace stays high through the end of the month, including a new edition of Natal’s traditional pre-Carnival event, Axé Natal.
On 01/30, he pulls a double: a private booking and, the same day, a big public set at Praça Cívica during Axé Natal, leading Bloco A Barca. Expect era-defining hits like “Maria Joaquina”, “Me Sinto Só” and “Tantã”. On 01/31, he remains in Natal for another private show.
February starts in Alagoas. On 02/01, Sergynho lands in Maceió for the Carnival warm-up with Bloco Paparico. Next, he heads back to Rio Grande do Norte for a pre-Carnival party in Serra de São Bento (RN) on 02/06.
The route then moves into Pernambuco. On 02/07, he performs in Jaboatão dos Guararapes, in Greater Recife, bringing axé to frevo territory and spotlighting the musical connection between Bahia and Pernambuco.

With more than 30 years on stage—much of it dedicated to Brazil’s biggest street party—Sergynho became nationally known in the 1990s as a leading trio frontman while part of Pimenta N’Ativa. Songs like “Maria Joaquina”, “Tantã”, “Dê um Sinal”, “Encontro Marcado” and “Me Sinto Só” remain staples of the Carnival soundtrack.
He is also riding a new wave of visibility. After years away from Salvador’s Carnival, Sergynho made a celebrated return in 2025 during the axé’s 40th anniversary edition.
