Shakira returns to Brazil for a historic performance at Copacabana Beach on May 2. The free concert, part of the Todo Mundo No Rio platform presented by Corona, promises to bring together 2 million people on Rio’s coastline to celebrate Latin music and her greatest hits.

The Colombian artist arrives in Rio after breaking the Guinness World Record in 2025 with the highest-grossing tour by a Latin artist of all time. Currently, Shakira is in residency in Central America, with five sold-out shows in El Salvador, and will continue to performances in Mexico, Jordan, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, and Saudi Arabia before taking the Brazilian stage.

Historic tour and global recognition

The Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour established Shakira as the highest-grossing Hispanic artist in history. With 33 Billboard Latin Music Awards, 13 Latin Grammys, 7 Billboard Music Awards, 5 MTV Video Music Awards, and 3 Grammy Awards, she is one of the most decorated women in world music.

Before Brazil, the singer will headline the OFFLIMITS Music Festival 2026 in Abu Dhabi and perform for the first time in Saudi Arabia as the musical attraction for the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Jeddah.

Economic and cultural impact for Rio

Todo Mundo No Rio, created by Bonus Track’s Luiz Oscar and Luiz Guilherme Niemeyer, has Corona as its main sponsor for the next three editions. In 2025, the first edition injected approximately R$600 million into Rio’s economy and attracted 500,000 tourists, according to data from Rodoviária Novo Rio and Tom Jobim International Airport.

There has never been so much talk about valuing your roots and culture. And Shakira is exactly that artist who achieved tremendous global success without changing her essence. Being Latino is much more than indicating your country of origin. It’s about being proud of your history and the path you took to get here. Being authentic is what values that essence. And in 2026, the world expects authenticity, commitment, and attitude from artists. Luiz Oscar Niemeyer, partner at Bonus Track

The Rio de Janeiro State Government and Rio de Janeiro City Hall support the platform, recognizing the strong impact of entertainment on tourism and the local economy. Corona’s marketing director, Mariana Dedvitis, emphasizes that these mega-concerts transform Rio’s coastline into a stage for unforgettable gatherings and materialize the brand’s “this is living” concept.

The show will be broadcast by TV Globo, Multishow, and Globoplay, with genre direction by Joana Thimoteo, bringing the performance’s energy to the entire country.
