Brazilian singer performs on December 5 with a show that blends classics, new songs and artistic direction by Ana Costa.
After celebrating five decades of career with the acclaimed “Tô Voltando” tour, which traveled across Brazil, Simone launches her new tour, simply titled “Simone”. The show takes place on Friday, December 5, at Arena Jockey in Rio de Janeiro.
Living a special moment in her career, the MPB icon presents a setlist that mixes recent releases, surprises and timeless hits, accompanied by a talented band led by singer and instrumentalist Ana Costa, who also serves as the show’s artistic director. The general direction is by Simone herself.
Revisiting classics and emotions
The repertoire includes beloved songs such as “Para Lennon e McCartney,” “O Que Será,” “Encontros e Despedidas,” and “O Amanhã,” alongside compositions by Chico Buarque, Gonzaguinha, Milton Nascimento and Ivan Lins. The performance promises an intimate and touching journey through Simone’s musical legacy.
The band and the creative team
Simone is joined on stage by Ana Costa (guitar and cavaquinho), Filipe Coimbra (guitar), Fábio Sá (bass), Chico Lira (keyboards), Vitor Cabral (drums) and André Siqueira (percussion). The visual direction is by Adriana Jorge, the stage design by Zé Carratu and the lighting design by Julien Katona.
A legendary career
Born in Salvador, Simone debuted professionally in 1973 and became one of the greatest voices in Brazilian music. With 31 studio albums and seven live recordings, her career includes nearly 50 songs featured in TV soundtracks and international recognition, including the Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.
Now, with the “Simone” tour, the artist inaugurates a new chapter in her history, merging her classic repertoire with fresh interpretations and personal reinvention.
