A new soundtrack with 50 tracks

The fourth season of Arcanjo Renegado, available on Globoplay, debuts with a powerful new soundtrack. The album, released by Crespo Music in partnership with AfroReggae and distributed by Virgin Music Group, presents 50 original tracks composed by Sany Pitbull to match the season’s intensity.

This new chapter moves to the tri-border area between Brazil, Paraguay and Bolivia, where an investigation uncovers an international drug trafficking network. The music follows this tension with blends of electronic beats, funk, soul and orchestral elements, shaping a cinematic and urban soundscape.

“Each soundtrack I create with AfroReggae comes from a place of truth, from real stories and from the power of culture as a tool for transformation.”

Known for transforming urban sounds into emotional experiences, Sany has collaborated with AfroReggae since 2010 in projects that merge art, inclusion and musical training. A pioneer in taking favela sounds to international stages, he has releases on Man Recordings and has performed at festivals such as Pori Jazz in Finland.

Album highlights

Among the tracks, the highlight is “Ready To Start”, written and performed by Milton Guedes in collaboration with Sany. The musician, known for partnerships with artists like Lulu Santos and Gilberto Gil, brings melodic sophistication to the emotional tone of the season.

Sany explores new textures and uses unusual instruments — from surdo drums in tense scenes to modified strings — expanding the aesthetics of funk and Black carioca music. The experimentation reinforces AfroReggae’s identity in audiovisual productions.

“AfroReggae was born from music, the soundtrack carries our DNA and our constant dialogue.”

The new season

Marcello Melo Jr. and Érika Januza lead the emotional arc as Mikhael and Sarah. Directed by Lipe Binder, the season follows an international investigation while rising violence in Rio de Janeiro shapes the state’s political climate.

Since 2020, Arcanjo Renegado has been one of Globoplay’s major hits, known for combining action, emotion and remarkable soundtracks. Crespo Music also licenses titles such as A Divisão and O Jogo que Mudou a História, strengthening its role at the intersection of music, audiovisual content and social impact.

Selo and sonic innovation

The soundtrack reflects the spirit of the series: intense, urban and deeply human. It translates the contradictions of Rio de Janeiro into sound. Crespo Music, the label of Grupo Cultural AfroReggae, works to develop Black artists from favelas and peripheral communities.

With distribution by Virgin Music, publishing by Universal Music and Dolby Atmos technology, the label reinforces its position as a reference in innovation, technical excellence and social commitment.
