Recently honored by the Latin Recording Academy and nominated for the Latin Grammy, Susana Baca performs from November 20 to 22 alongside Ensemble Ecos.
Susana Baca received the Latin Recording Academy’s Excellence in Music Award, recognizing artists who make significant contributions to music.
The award reinforces her role in preserving Afro-Peruvian music, a legacy she continues to expand, now with a new 2025 Latin Grammy nomination for Best Folk Album.
The artist is a main attraction at the first edition of the Ecos Latinoamericanos Festival, taking place in São Paulo from November 19 to 30, 2025.
Susana Baca performs at Estação Motiva Cultural – Sala São Paulo at the opening concert (Nov 20) and also on November 21 and 22 at SESC Belenzinho, accompanied by Ensemble Ecos.
“Ending the year with Susana Baca on stage, at such a symbolic moment for her and for the continent’s music, is a gesture of celebration and reverence to the history that connects us,” says executive director Bruno Lourensetto.
Three-time Latin Grammy winner Susana Baca combines art, politics, and ancestry, reviving Afro-Peruvian traditions while incorporating new sounds into internationally recognized work.
At the festival, she presents a repertoire celebrating the resistance and poetry of Black culture in Peru and across the continent.
The full program includes 16 concerts and performances in various formats — from matinées and musical picnics to urban interventions — at Estação Motiva Cultural (Sala São Paulo), SESC Belenzinho, Pinacoteca, and Minhocão.
