Latin America’s largest music and theater school offers 60+ free courses in music and performing arts until November 30.
The Tatuí Conservatory — recognized as the largest music and theater school in Latin America — has opened enrollment for the 2026 academic year. The institution offers more than 60 free professional courses in classical music, popular music, performing arts, and music education. Applications are open until November 30 on the school’s official website.
Managed by the Sustenidos Social Organization for Culture and linked to the São Paulo State Secretariat of Culture, Economy, and Creative Industry, the Conservatory offers free annual, regular, and specialization programs for students of all ages. All courses are completely free, with no registration, tuition, or monthly fees.
New courses and flexible learning options
After achieving 95% enrollment in 2025, the Conservatory has expanded its Annual Free Courses with seven new options — five in music and two in theater. Highlights include Introduction to Musical Reading, Wind and Percussion Band, Introduction to Lyric Singing, and Theater Initiation for Teenagers and Adults. Courses last one year and are offered both in-person and online.
In Performing Arts, offerings range from Children’s Theater Initiation to advanced training in Acting, Stage Visualities, and Musical Theater. In music, the Conservatory offers instruction in instruments, singing, conducting, and lutherie, as well as a Viola Caipira specialization.
Diversity and inclusion in admissions
Selection varies by course. Beginners are admitted through a lottery system, while advanced candidates may undergo an in-person or video audition. Theater candidates participate in live interview classes.
The Conservatory promotes affirmative action policies, reserving 50% of openings for public school students and 5% for People with Disabilities (PwD). The initiative aims to ensure accessibility and equal opportunities in artistic education.
