Thiaguinho Releases Bem Black Vol. 1 EP

Thiaguinho drops Bem Black Vol. 1 EP today (Jan 9), his 25th album, featuring 11 tracks with Sandra Sá, Gaab, and Sampa Crew, honoring Brazilian Black culture.

The singer unleashes the first part of Bem Black at midnight on Friday (Jan 9). This 25th career album transcends music, becoming a manifesto for Brazilian Black culture‘s power.

Celebrating Black self-esteem

Thiaguinho leads the project with Ellen Barbosa, CEO of Paz e Bem Entretenimento. “This is a feel-good album. It entertains, brings joy, speaks of love, but above all, boosts self-esteem,” he says.

With deep respect, I honor Black Brazilian music legends and add my contribution. Black people are resilient and grow stronger every year.

The EP dives into Black ancestry, pays tribute to 80s Black music, and eyes the future. All 11 tracks launch with visuals on streaming platforms.

It features a musical film set at São Paulo’s Club Homs, a historic charme dance spot. Banda do Poder adds brass—sax, trumpet, trombone—under Wilson Prateado’s direction.

Soul, jazz, and R&B blend with Thiaguinho’s signature pagode. Part two brings Negra Li, Walmir Borges, plus Cris Vianna, Mumuzinho, and Patty de Jesus in the film.

Tracks blending love and roots

The EP nods to Tim Maia, Cassiano, and Wilson Simonal. Key tracks include:

“Conversa gostosa” starts with the peace of true love. “Me balançou” declares sweeping passion. “Ai ai ai amor” mixes romance and desire.

Title track Bem Black captures the vibe: “Come add and revolutionize / Nothing stops us.” “Vai me ver feliz” with Sampa Crew celebrates self-love post-breakup.

Sandra Sá shines on “Olhos coloridos” remake. “Da nossa maneira” reimagines the lovestruck rogue. Gaab joins “Amo isso que a gente tem” for reunion vibes.

Medley revives Tim Maia’s “Primavera” and Cassiano’s “Coleção.” “A rua não tá fácil” warns singles. “Entra no clima” ends on a fiery note.
