Tuca Oliveira releases new album “A Nossa Vez”

Brazilian singer-songwriter presents a 12-track album produced by Júlio Raposo, featuring Elba Ramalho, Milton Guedes, and Catharina.

Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Tuca Oliveira has released his third studio album, “A Nossa Vez” (“Our Turn”). The 12-track project is a heartfelt reflection on his experiences, emotions, and memories, showcasing the poetic essence that defines his artistic path. Born in Muzambinho, Minas Gerais, Tuca blends traditional Brazilian music with modern sounds, reinforcing his place among the promising talents of contemporary MPB.

Produced by Júlio Raposo — a Latin Grammy winner with Os Garotin — the album was recorded in Rio de Janeiro and celebrates love, memory, and hope through uplifting lyrics. All tracks were written by Tuca himself, including an acoustic bonus track, composed over different stages of his life.

Collaborations and inspirations

The album features notable collaborations, including Elba Ramalho on the romantic xote “Simples Assim”, Catharina — Tuca’s partner and muse — in “Eu Quero Apenas Te Ouvir Cantar”, and Milton Guedes, who contributes brass arrangements to “Fico a Fim.”

The title track, “A Nossa Vez”, began in 2019 and was completed after a meaningful meeting with Guilherme Arantes, who was moved by Tuca’s work. The song speaks of hope, connection, and resilience, embodying the album’s emotional core.

An intimate and poetic journey

Among the most personal songs is “João”, a touching tribute to Tuca’s grandfather that transforms family memories into melody. “A Nossa Vez is about love, affection, and believing in life’s opportunities. It brings together songs from different times in my life that finally found their place,” says the artist.

With over 10 million streams across digital platforms, Tuca Oliveira stands out as one of the new voices of Brazilian Popular Music, balancing artistic maturity and emotional authenticity.
