Sergipe-born singer Walfredo gains recognition in the Northeast with charisma, vocal power and strong forró identity.
Born in Canindé de São Francisco, in the countryside of Sergipe, singer Walfredo grew up surrounded by forró and the traditions that shape the Northeast. As a teenager, between 13 and 14 years old, he recorded his first project and discovered the path he would follow: living from music. Since then, he has built a solid journey marked by talent, dedication and genuine connection with audiences.
His career has taken him across the Northeast. Performing in Bahia, Sergipe, Alagoas and Pernambuco, Walfredo established himself as one of the most promising names of the new forró generation. His stage presence, charisma and powerful voice captivate crowds, who dance, sing and celebrate at each show.
Unforgettable moments marked his trajectory. In Nossa Senhora da Glória, he performed for more than 70 thousand people at CarnaForró. During the 2024 Carnival in Salvador, he joined the Bloco dos Vaqueiros on the Barra-Ondina circuit. He also cherishes his first São João season, when he toured four states in a marathon of performances.
A multifaceted artist, Walfredo takes part in every stage of his projects. He contributes to creation, production and repertoire choices. He plays guitar and hopes to learn the accordion, an instrument he admires for representing the soul of the Northeast. His inspiration comes from everyday life, vaquejadas, popular festivities and the audience’s reaction to his music.
His partnership with Sua Música Digital, started in 2023, has been essential for expanding his reach. The album “Especial de Vaquejada” embraced a bold forró style inspired by cowboy festivals. “Forró + Verão” delivered a light, danceable atmosphere, while the EP “Se Tem São João, Tem Forró” brought new tracks for the June festivities.
His latest release, “Ao Vivo é Mais Gostoso 2.0”, continues the previous project and celebrates the intense bond between the artist and the audience. The song “Quase” also reached digital platforms, showcasing artistic maturity and stage confidence.
Despite his growing recognition, Walfredo maintains the simplicity that has guided him from the beginning. With authenticity and determination, he aims to bring forró to audiences across Brazil and highlight the strength of a genre that moves generations.
