Vale da Música celebrates March 8 with a weekend of performances led by women at the Wire Opera House.
On March 7 and 8, the Floating Stage at Vale da Música, a project presented by the Ministry of Culture and Bradesco, hosts a special lineup for International Women’s Day. The weekend will feature talented artists who are shaping Curitiba’s instrumental music scene, performing choro, samba, bossa nova, MPB, and Latin jazz.
Weekend lineup
On Saturday (7), Regional Roseira opens the day with samba and choro. Next, Beatriz Schneider Trio offers a lively reinterpretation of instrumental classics. To close the day, Lilian Nakahodo Trio delivers refined instrumental versions of Brazilian standards with piano, double bass, and drums.
On Sunday (8), Beca Trio, led by cellist Rebeca Friedmann, performs an original jazz and Latin-inspired set. During lunchtime, Trio Anástacia takes the stage with Brazilian popular rhythms featuring accordion, flute, and drums. The event wraps up with Thatá Medeiros and a special guest honoring traditional choro compositions.
