99Food begins operations in Belo Horizonte with lower prices, incentives and new opportunities for restaurants and couriers.
Residents of Belo Horizonte, Contagem, Betim, Ribeirão das Neves, Santa Luzia, Ibirité and Nova Lima now have a new food delivery option. 99Food, the delivery platform of 99, starts its testing phase today, November 13, 2025. The launch is part of the company’s R$2 billion investment plan through June 2026, with about R$100 million directed to the region. The platform already includes more than 2,700 restaurants and 46,000 registered couriers.
“Belo Horizonte has a strong food culture and huge potential for delivery. We arrive with a model designed to generate value for the entire ecosystem: reducing costs for restaurants, increasing income opportunities for couriers and offering affordable delivery to consumers,” says Simeng Wang, General Manager of 99 in Brazil. “Arriving in Belo Horizonte is a strategic step for 99Food, reinforcing our long-term commitment to Brazil. We want to grow sustainably and expand operations to 100 cities by mid-2026.”
Belo Horizonte becomes the sixth city to receive the expansion of the service, which is launching simultaneously in the interior of São Paulo and the metropolitan area of Salvador. The new service integrates 99’s convenience ecosystem, which already includes mobility and object delivery, bringing transport, payments and food delivery together in one app.
A fairer delivery model for the “bar capital”
99Food offers a new opportunity for restaurants in Belo Horizonte, known as the “bar capital.” According to a 2023 survey by Abrasel, the city has the highest bar-to-resident ratio among all capitals, with 178 bars per 100,000 inhabitants.
The platform provides different business models, allowing restaurants to choose fairer fees and access tools designed to boost local sales.
Faster deliveries and better experiences
Residents in the seven serviced cities can enjoy menu-price orders without extra platform fees, free delivery on selected orders, coupons totaling up to R$99 during launch and fast delivery with real-time tracking.
Powered by 99’s technology and urban mobility expertise, the platform connects the ideal courier to each order, uses proprietary maps for efficient routing and calculates accurate preparation times, reducing waiting and speeding up deliveries.
More earnings for partner couriers
The integration of services expands income opportunities. Couriers can earn up to R$250 per day when completing 20 deliveries, with at least five food orders, in addition to incentives ranging from R$6 to R$10 in the first month.
The official launch of 99Food is scheduled for November 18.
