Brazilian brand launches its second collection with the Empodera Alphorria project, in partnership with Minas Gerais’ Trajeto Moda program.
The Alphorria brand reaffirms its commitment to socially impactful fashion by launching the second collection developed with the Empodera Alphorria project. The initiative combines purpose, training, and transformation, in collaboration with Trajeto Moda, a Minas Gerais State Government program, offering education and income opportunities for women in socially vulnerable situations.
Fashion with purpose and empowerment
The project provides training in citizenship, entrepreneurship, and sewing, reinforcing Alphorria’s commitment to women’s empowerment. According to Fernanda Thibau, the brand’s CEO, the initiative was born from the belief that “every woman deserves the freedom to be who she is and to dress as she wishes.” More than teaching a craft, the goal is to provide tools for personal and financial autonomy.
Launched in 2024, Empodera Alphorria has the support of the municipalities of Diamantina and Couto de Magalhães de Minas. Over four stages, the project included visits to Alphorria’s factory, technical workshops, and community integration activities, featuring a fashion show in Couto de Magalhães de Minas showcasing pieces made by the participants.
From training to the runway
In the third stage, group leaders attended an intensive training at Alphorria’s headquarters in Belo Horizonte, going through all areas of the company — from finance to marketing — and designed an exclusive piece under the mentorship of the brand’s professionals. Their new skills were applied to produce items for the Summer 25 Collection, available in physical stores and on Alphorria’s e-commerce platform.
The new collection will be launched on November 11 at Alphorria’s flagship store in Belo Horizonte. The event will include a live embroidery session featuring participants from the project, who will be at the store from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., sharing their craftsmanship and creative journey with customers.
