São Paulo’s post-carnival season gets a special chapter for little ones in 2026. Starting at 10 a.m. this Sunday, Rua José Oscar Abreu Sampaio in the Jardim Anália Franco neighborhood transforms into a world of costumes, color, and joy with the Bloquinho Fraldinha Molhada — a street party designed entirely for children and their families.

Live show, mascot, and non-stop fun

The headline attraction is a pocket show by Bubu e as Corujinhas, a beloved Brazilian children’s music group guaranteed to get everyone singing and dancing. Kids will also get to meet Fraldino, the event’s official mascot and one of the most recognizable faces of the bloco.

An inflatable playground area will keep energy levels high throughout the morning, giving little ones plenty of room to run, jump, and play between performances.

Food, sweets, and carnival gear

The fun extends well beyond the stage. A food truck village will offer a wide range of food and drink options for the whole family. Classic Brazilian carnival treats — popcorn, cotton candy, and shaved ice — will also be on hand to sweeten the celebration.

Small vendor stalls selling confetti, foam spray, and carnival accessories round out the experience, ensuring no one leaves without fully embracing the festive spirit.

The vision behind the bloco

The Bloquinho was born with the purpose of giving families a safe, organized, and truly fun space for children to experience this magic. We want the little ones to have their own carnival experience — with music, costumes, and joy in their own way. — Mateus Rosemberg, founder of Bloquinho Fraldinha Molhada

Amid the grandeur of São Paulo’s carnival scene, Bloquinho Fraldinha Molhada makes a clear statement: street festivities can — and should — be welcoming to all ages. The event brings parents, guardians, and children together in a light, vibrant celebration that strengthens community bonds and honors the tradition of São Paulo’s street carnival.

Guests are encouraged to wear their best costumes, charge their phone cameras, and arrive early to catch every moment. For more information, visit: instagram.com/fraldinhamolhadaobloco
